Community Spotlight: Lauderdale Baptist Association offers Food Pantry in Marion, Mississippi – Serving with Heart and Compassion

In every community, there are people in need, and it’s the kindness of others that helps bridge the gap. The town of Marion, in partnership with the Lauderdale Baptist Association, is extending a helping hand to its residents of the Town of Marion and Lauderdale County, Mississippi through a community food pantry. Located at 5521 Clinton St., Marion, MS, this food pantry is dedicated to making sure no one goes hungry.

Who Can Access the Food Pantry?

The food pantry is available to all citizens of Marion & Lauderdale County who may be experiencing food insecurity. With the rising cost of groceries and the challenges many families face, this pantry provides an essential service, offering nutritious food and basic necessities to those in need.

Hours of Operation

The food pantry is open from Tuesday to Thursday, 8:30 AM to 12 Noon. This ensures that there’s a steady and predictable schedule for community members who rely on these resources. Whether you’re stopping by for yourself or someone else, know that friendly volunteers will be there to greet you and assist.

How You Can Help

If you’re looking for a way to give back, consider supporting the Lauderdale Baptist Association's efforts. Donations of non-perishable food items are always appreciated, and volunteers are often needed to help stock shelves, greet visitors, and assist with distribution. Giving your time, donations, or even spreading the word can make a meaningful difference.

A Community United in Giving

The Marion food pantry stands as a testament to the strength of this community. "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give," Winston Churchill once said, and his words resonate with the mission of this food pantry. Every contribution, no matter how small, adds to the fabric of support woven throughout Marion, creating a community where everyone feels cared for and valued.
