IMPORTANT NOTICE: Marion Trash Pickup Schedule Changing Beginning August 21

The Town of Marion would like to notify all residents of an important change to our regular trash pickup schedule.

New Trash Pickup Day: Friday

Beginning Friday, August 21, 2026, Waste Pro will move Marion’s regular trash collection day from Wednesday to Friday.

Residents who have been accustomed to Wednesday pickup should begin planning for Friday pickup starting August 21.

Trash Pickup Will Begin at 5:30 A.M.

Due to the extreme summer heat and to help ensure the safety of the Waste Pro team, trash collection will begin earlier in the morning at approximately 5:30 A.M.

Because of the early start, residents are asked to:

Please place your trash cart at the curb the night before your scheduled pickup, preferably by 9:00 P.M. Thursday evening.

Having carts out the night before will help prevent missed pickups as Waste Pro crews begin their routes early Friday morning.

Please Remember These Important Changes

• Previous Pickup Day: Wednesday

• NEW Pickup Day: Friday

• Effective Date: Friday, August 21, 2026

• Pickup Begins: Approximately 5:30 A.M.

• Place Carts at the Curb: Thursday night by 9:00 P.M.
