The Town of Marion, in partnership with the Marion Police Department, is proud to host a vital CPR Training Class on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 9:00 AM at Marion Town Hall. This event is part of a community initiative to equip local business employees with the skills they need to potentially save a life.
With the theme “What If?”, this training session invites us all to imagine a moment when being CPR certified could mean the difference between life and death. Emergencies can strike anywhere—at work, at home, or in public—and having someone nearby who knows how to respond could be critical.
The purpose of this event is clear: to save lives. The Town’s goal is to ensure that every business in Marion has at least one CPR-certified employee. Businesses across all industries are encouraged to participate, from retail shops and restaurants to offices and service providers. No prior CPR experience is necessary.
Metro Ambulance will be on-site to assist with the training, offering expert guidance during hands-on demonstrations using CPR dummies and first-aid tools. Participants will learn essential lifesaving techniques including chest compressions, rescue breaths, and proper use of an AED (Automated External Defibrillator).
