The Town of Marion is proud to release our 2024 Annual Drinking Water Quality Report, and we’re excited to share the good news—it’s another year of safe, dependable, and high-quality water for our residents! 💙
Each year, this report helps keep you informed about where your water comes from, how it’s treated, and the steps we take to ensure it’s safe to drink. Our team works diligently every day to protect our local water sources and to meet or exceed all state and federal water quality standards.
✅ Key Highlights from This Year’s Report:
No violations for water quality – Our water met all federal and state drinking water standards for 2024.
Water Source: Our water comes from the Lower Wilcox Aquifer—an underground natural water source.
Lead & Copper Levels: No samples exceeded the action levels. Our system has completed a Lead Service Line Inventory, and no lead lines were found.
Chlorine Levels: Within safe limits to control microbial contaminants.
Additional Contaminants: All tested levels, including Barium, Copper, and Sodium, were well below maximum allowable limits.
Transparency & Compliance: Although there were minor reporting delays, our system is now fully compliant.
