The Marion Town Hall offices will be closed until further notice. A member of our staff has tested positive and it is our utmost priority to keep everyone safe and healthy while preventing further spread or exposure.

During this time every staff member will be tested for COVID-19 and our offices will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. We are taking every precaution within the guidelines provided by the State of Mississippi and the MS Department of Health.

Business can be conducted via phone by calling Town Hall at 601-483-9573. Water bill payments and any other paperwork can be dropped in the drop box outside of Town Hall.

On Monday, August 23, 2021, we will reevaluate the situation and advise you at that time if any further Town Hall closing days are needed. Thank you for your understanding and we appreciate your patience during this time. We look forward to getting back to work soon so that we can continue to serve the citizens of Marion, MS at the highest level.

“We’re going to listen to our personnel and make sure that we’re doing everything we can to make Marion as innovative as possible.” Gill said, “My first few months in office, I want to make sure that we learn. That is the biggest piece of it. We are going to learn and listen to people. We’re going to try to make the best decisions for Marion over the next few weeks.”

Gill says his win would not be possible without God, his family and supporters.

The last regular Marion Town Hall meeting with the honorable Mayor Elvis Hudson and the current Board of Aldermen was held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021.

Thank you to all who attended the Town Hall meeting.

After taking care of the order of business everyone took time to express their thankfulness and gratitude to Mayor Elvis Hudson and Aldermen.

We thanked Mayor Hudson for his exceptional service years as Mayor of our great small town. Mayor Hudson was presented with a plaque, a gavel, and other gifts of gratitude from the Board of Aldermen, family, and friends.

We are proud to be common threads tightly woven in the Town of Marion, Mississippi and we look forward to the great things to come for our Community!

(The newly elected Mayor and Board of Aldermen will be sworn in on July 1, 2021. With the next schedulded Town Hall Meeting to be held on July 6, 2021 at 6:00 p.m.)
